Joyce Cairns: War TouristJoyce W. Cairns PRSA studied painting at Grays School of Art from 1966 1971 and the Royal College of Art, London 1971 1974). She returned to Aberdeen in 1976 to teach Drawing and Painting at Grays School of Art until taking early retirement in 2004 to paint full time. This is a self portrait with her father, Major Robert Cairns, shown being painted by the artist. This print is from the Hinterland folio. The brochure for the folio describes it as such:
